On the evening of Sunday, September 24, 2023, an Orange County driver collided with the curb and a traffic signal pole. The driver of the gold Ford Explorer lost control of his automobile causing the car to erupt in flames soon after the crash. The driver was pronounced dead upon the Orange County Fire Authority’s extinguishing of the fire.
It’s not currently known what might have caused the driver to lose control of his car. Irvine Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash.
