On June 7, 2023, a concrete wall collapsed on a Pacoima construction site, resulting in a fatality.
At approximately 9 am, the cinder-block wall collapsed trapping the two individuals. One was rescued by the Los Angeles Fire Department, but the second was declared dead at the scene.
Law enforcement is still investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident to see if proper safety regulations were followed.
