On April 27, 2023, a Pomona woman was killed in what is believed to be a street racing crash. Three people are known to have been involved in the collision, two drivers and one passenger. The passenger died from the crash, while the driver of that car was brought to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the other car was not injured. The causation of the events leading up to the crash is currently under investigation.
