On August 8, 2023, a woman exited her vehicle to check suspected issues with it, and in the process was struck and killed by a semi-truck.
California Highway Patrol Sgt. Jensen said the woman walked into traffic lanes and was struck by the semi-truck, her reason for walking into traffic lanes is unknown at this time.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and her identity has not been provided.
